Reviews
A lovely Birthday outing We have been to Masala Lounge before over the years and the restaurant has maintained the quality of its food and it is somewhere to return to.We had a party of 11 for a birthday celebration and we all had a lovely meal. The staff were very helpful.
Arrived earlier than expected. Packaged nicely with 2 complimentary poppadoms, mint sauce and onions salad. Ordered a chicken tikka naga, mushroom pilau rice and keema garlic naan for me and my partner. The naga was nice and spicy, packed with meat and full of flavour. Good portion of rice and a decent naan. We ordered a chicken tandoori balti for our children with a keema pilau rice and chips and both children loved the food. Again lots of meat and cooked perfectly.
Simply good food and polite and friendly staff
Me and my wife went there on Saturday night for a belated birthday meal. I’m glad we booked ahead as the restaurant was really busy. We had popadoms for our starter which were freshly made with plenty of onion salad and sauces. Our main meals were Chicken Dhansak and Chicken Karahi (pictured). Both were served piping hot and really tasty. Plenty of chicken in both of our dishes, so I can’t see what the other reviewers are complaining about??? We had rice and naan, again served piping hot and really tasty. The staff are friendly and polite and our meal was good value for money (33.00). The only downside is that the restaurant is not licensed, but there’s an off licence two doors down, so it’s not really an issue. Will definitely be returning, in fact we’ve booked for 17th Feb and already looking forward to the meal. The chef and staff fully deserve 5 star review with one of the best tasting curries I’ve had for a long time!!!!
Nice food, good service. You can bring your own drinks. Parking can be challenging. Really enjoyed and will visit again for sure.
